I have a social science background and hope that my writing is a window into complex issues, but I also just think humans are funny.  Women are centered to remind myself that I can be too and so that my daughters one day demand it. Folklore, geopolitics, and self-delusion loom large, but so do dick jokes. I take myself, and the world, probably too seriously. But I am working on it.
